Microsoft Falling in Love With Blockchain

In the company's blog, the Microsoft Identity Division's head of project implementation – Alex Simons – informed that the tech titan has intentions to build up a novel pattern of virtual identity.

In particular, he emphasized that it would neither be regulated or monitored by any body or company. Therefore, this design would ensure that information is cached in entirely proprietary conditions. Its users would have the chance to manage all the cells of their cyber identity.

As Simons also said, primarily, Microsoft examined a plethora of demands for this type of systems. Finally, the tech titan concluded that blockchain was a perfect option for that.

“Some public blockchains [...] provide a solid foundation for rooting DIDs, recording DPKI operations, and anchoring attestations,” said Microsoft representative person on the blog.

Farther, the technological giant intends to append DID maintenance to its application, called Microsoft Authenticator. This way, it will be possible to direct identity info as well as crypto openers. By the way, this app was implemented at the end of summer 2016. Currently, vast numbers of people employ it, as per Microsoft statement.

Microsoft and Bitcoin

This firm is not only friendly towards blockchain, but it is also supportive when it comes to cryptocurrency, including Bitcoin. Even though Microsoft tries to be cautious with it, it accepts BTC as payment for some of its products.
